Gay Orlando: Florida Film Festival features LGBT Films!

Who doesn’t love a good film?! Well many people in the LGBT community are avid film goers and film lovers! Particularly of independent and foreign films.

Sadly, there isn’t always much chance to see films that aren’t mainstream in many parts of the country…however! Those in Orlando are in luck! The Florida Film Festival has come to town this April and it looks to be another great year!

Now in its 21st year, this great film festival premieres the best in current independent and foreign cinema. This years event is as big as ever with over 160 films, 100 visiting filmmakers, special guests and much more over a 10 day period!

This year the festival is from April 13th to 22nd and best of all, several LGBT films are making an appearance.

Including: “Jobriath A.D.” a film about a 70’s gay glam rocker, as well as  “An Ordinary Family” a reunion between brothers, one a Christian Minister the other a gay man with his partner, and “What Night is This” a short about a heart-broken man and his roommate. See their brief review in Watermark.

On top of films the festival is celebrating its 6th year of having food centric parties and events.

As for locations the festival is spread across many venues in Orlando, see their website for current locations for each event!
