Gay Orlando: Independence Day 2012 in Orlando

4th of July is not just the chance to mark America’s birthday it is a chance for a party…and Gay Orlando knows how to party!

But, if you don’t quite know what to do this Independence Day in Orlando here are some events going on which might be of interest to you:

 July 4th FREEdom at Parliament House

If you are looking to keep it Gay this Independence Day then this is the event for you! Featuring a Free BBQ, Free Pool Games and Free Camp Drag – a U.S.O. Show featuring Gidget Galore, Addison Taylor, Carol Lee, Gingr Minj & The Minx at 11pm. There is even free entry!

Fireworks at the Fountain at Lake Eola

This popular event at the stunning Lake Eola Park (101 N. Rosalind Ave., Orlando) is one of the jewels in Orlando’s crown. Fireworks are launched from the Fountain in the center of the lake at 9:30pm.

Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration at Winter Park

Live music and entertainment at Central Park, Park Avenue, Winter Park from 9am till 1pm.

July 4 Celebration at Kissimmee

This fun filled even kicks off at 5pm till 9pm and features children’s activities and fireworks (fireworks are just after 9pm) at Kissimmee Lakefront Park, Lakeshore Blvd., Kissimmee.

Flashback 4th of July at Celebration

A fantastic “Salute to Cinema” themed party, with costume contest and fireworks. The event starts at 5:30pm and runs to 9:30pm at Celebration Town Center with fireworks blasting off over Lake Rianhard.

Ok…so we can’t not mention Walt Disney World! They have some wonderful Independence Day events going on in the worlds largest Entertainment complex; Disney’s Celebrate America! A Forth of July Concert a the Magic Kingdom and The Heartbeat of Freedom, a longer more spectacular version of the already magnificent “IllumiNations, Reflections of Earth” fireworks show at Epcot.
